AB927-ASA2,1,2 An Act relating to: requesting the legislative council to study taxation of utilities.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB927-ASA2, s. 1 Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB927-ASA2,1,11 (1) Legislative council study on utility taxation. The legislative council shall study the taxation of utilities in this state and recommend, based on the results of the study, possible changes related the taxation of those utilities. To undertake the study, the legislative council shall consider the deregulation of utilities, the current taxation of utilities in this state and possible future options for the taxation of utilities in this state. The legislative council shall report the results of its study to the legislature in the manner described under section 13.172 (2) of the statutes no later than June 30, 2001.
